“Leveled Readers for Little Learners”

“Leveled Readers for Little Learners” is a Mini-Grant awarded to Mrs. Hirsch at North Point Elementary School. Her goal was to purchase leveled books that students may utilize in their daily independent reading. Her campus does offer literacy library texts, however those are to be used for instruction during guided reading time and there aren’t enough available titles in the literacy library for all students. This Mini-Grant enables students to use the books during their stations to build fluency and comprehension or to be used in their book boxes for independent reading. The books she selected impact two reading levels that students are expected to master in first grade and can be used for many years to come!
