The Clear Creek Education Foundation’s (CCEF) 7th annual “Dine Out to Donate” event was a success with 42 local area participating restaurants donating a combined total of $17,000 to the foundation! After participating, diners voted for their Clear Creek Independent School District (CCISD) school of choice to receive up to $750 for school programs.
Congratulations to the schools that had the highest percentage of participation based on student population! CCEF awarded a total of $3,750 to first and second place. Special thanks to Houston Methodist Clear Lake for sponsoring the school contest this year!
Elementary: Ward Elementary, Brookwood Elementary
Secondary: Clear Creek Intermediate, Victory Lakes Intermediate
High School: Clear View High School, Clear Horizons Early College High School
Comprehensive High School: Clear Creek High School
The school with the highest participation overall was Clear View High School who was awarded the traveling “Top Dog” trophy.
“Dine Out to Donate” was held on Monday, October 19th. Participating restaurants opened their doors and drive-thru for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, donating a portion of that day’s revenue to CCEF. The funds will benefit the students and teachers of CCISD.
“It’s exciting to see our CCISD community continue to rally for our restaurants during this challenging year,” said Deborah Laine, CCEF Executive Director. “We know it has been a tough year on restaurants, so we wanted to continue to move forward with this event and help bring business to our local partners on a normally slow Monday night. We are so appreciative of our parents, staff and participating restaurants for their continued partnership to provide innovative materials to our kids.”
