CCEF’s Dine Out to Donate Raises $25,400

The Clear Creek Education Foundation’s (CCEF) 6th annual “Dine Out to Donate” event was a success with 53 local participating restaurants donating a combined total of $25,400 to the foundation! At each restaurant, diners voted for their Clear Creek Independent School District (CCISD) School of choice to receive up to $1,000 for school programs.

Congratulations to the schools that had the highest percentage of participation based on student population! CCEF awarded a total of $5,500 to first, second and third place.

Elementary:  Ed White, Ward and Brookwood

Secondary:  Clear Creek, Seabrook and League City

High School: Clear View, Clear Horizons Early College and Clear Springs/Clear Creek

The school with the highest participation overall was Ed White Elementary, who was awarded the traveling “Top Dog” trophy.

“Dine Out to Donate” was held on Monday, October 7th. Participating restaurants opened their doors for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, donating a portion of that day’s revenue to CCEF. The funds will benefit the students and teachers of CCISD.

“It’s exciting to see our CCISD community continue to support the CCEF Dine Out to Donate Event,” said Deborah Laine, CCEF Executive Director. “We so appreciate our parents, staff and participating restaurants for their partnership to provide innovative materials to our kids.”
