“Clever Coders” is the first Elementary Student Teacher Innovative Grant (STIG) and it was awarded to Robotics Club students at Parr Elementary and guided by Mrs. McKinney. Coding gives students the necessary skills to start to prepare for future careers. With the grant money, Mrs. McKinney was able to purchase technology to enhance her student’s learning experience while gaining real-world problem solving skills.
“The Clear Creek Education Foundation is an incredible organization that has provided my students with cutting edge tools,” stated Mrs. McKinney. “The generous grant that they were awarded has allowed them to expand their learning beyond the classroom and to explore new and complex technologies in a fun and engaging manner. I have been impressed with the skills that my students have gained through the use of these tools and I have enjoyed watching them problem solve and cooperate with each other.”
