CCISD students shined on the stage, Saturday, March 2nd as part of our CCEF Extravaganza talent show. Acts included singing, acting, breakdancing and even karate!

     Winners of this year's talent show were: Elementary Division: 1st place went to Quinn Taylor (Dance) from Robinson Elementary, 2nd place was awarded to Parr Elementary Drama Club, (Ensemble Performance from Walt Disney’s Aladdin Jr.), 3rd place was awarded to Abigail Bai, (Piano Solo) from Brookwood Elementary and Judges Honorable Mention was awarded to Kamryn Brokaw (Solo Performance), Campbell Elementary; Intermediate Division: Joshua Barron (Piano Solo) from League City Intermediate and High School Division: Suri Xu, William Nolan, Eve Hewett, and Bryan Stevens (String Quartet “Rhumba”) from Clear Creek High School. Each 1st place school received a $1000 prize.

      "CCEF Extravaganza was a great success, people loved the talent show and seeing all of our Partners in Education (PIE) donors get covered in pie. We look forward to future collaboration with the CCISD Imagination Celebration and growing the event in the future to create more awareness of the foundation and its support of arts across the district. Special thanks to Greg Goodman and Mary Goldner, with the VPA Department for all their help. This was truly a team effort to showcase our kids,” said Melinda Mintz, Clear Creek Education Foundation Chairperson.

     This community fundraising event was held to raise support for CCEF’s mission and raise awareness on the how the foundation impacts CCISD teachers and students directly in the classroom.      “This event is a great example of the strong collaboration between CCISD, CCEF and our community. We are blessed to have a community that is so supportive and inspired to offer the very best education to our students,” said Jennifer Garcia, CCEF Executive Director.  

     Since its founding in 1992, CCEF has been a nonprofit dedicated to building public education in Clear Creek ISD through grants and programs that empower every student to achieve academic and personal success. CCEF has contributed over $5.3 million to CCISD for innovative programs in the classroom.
